I never fully tested it, but always had the suspicious that it only eats from stockpiles.

He dies from hunger? For now, while the bug is not fixed, we can have a 1x1 stockpile with a filter for food only, so he can eat from there :slightly_smiling:

Pets don’t die from hunger … They will just have the hunger thought and be sad.
