Patrolling as a party renders party members unresponsive

Summary:
Whenever a Hearthling is promoted to a class that belongs to a combat-party, they become unresponsive to commands and enemies. Their current activity report is set to either idle, promoting, or “blank”. Their animation either freezes or is also idle. When encountered by enemies they are still attacked and lose health.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start a game with wooden sword.

  2. Promote Hearthling to a footman.

  3. Watch it contemplate life’s deep questions.

Expected Results:
Fresh footman takes up duties with valour.

Actual Results:
Footman slides into a life of extreme squalor and idleness

Notes:
I said in the summary “any class belonging to the combat-party system”, because I had a succesful game with archers and clerics on alpha-3023, but when I promoted a Hearthling to a footman at some point, the above stated happened. The game has done it ever since, unless I rollback to the “officially released” alpha.

@Enyo
If you got engine errors, please do copy and paste them here! It will be very helpful. I’ve also changed your user level so I think you should be able to upload things now.
Thank you!

@yshan

Thank you, I have uploaded the file with the engine errors. If there is anything more I can do, I don’t mind putting in some work :smiley:

Hi @Enyo,
The logs indicate that your mods directory is changed. Are you running an unzipped stonehearth folder by any chance? What happens if you remove all mods? Does the error still occur?
Thanks

Greetings @yshan ,

You were right, the file radiant.smod had indeed unzipped into a folder.
I removed it, started the game and happily watched my soldiers form up :smiley:
I’m sorry for the trouble, but I’m happy I can continue playing.

Thank you for the quick and great help!! ^^
