to set aside the elements required for a trader to avoid using them by mistake and to find themselves without anything when the trader comes back, or even to be able to craft an object (in the kitchen for example, to make a dish, Ingredients, but they sometimes disappear, stolen by the other inhabitants!)

Saving food for trade

Right now it’s quite hard to save a certain amount of certain food for a scheduled trade. Say, a trader asks you for 10 carrots. Right now your best bet is to create tons of fields seeded with carrots and hope for the best. You can’t guarantee your cook won’t use them. You can’t guarantee your hearthlings won’t eat them. So your only option is to raise its production and fit the time. While it’s certainly challenging, it’s not exactly what I would call “clever” or “controlled”. It’s not the cas…
