Ore vein not spawning

Summary:
ore vein not spawning. meaning top of the mountain stays uncolored after placing the banner
Steps to reproduce:

  1. create a new game (I used ACE)
  2. choose location on map, I chose a 3 wood, 3 food, 3 mineral map. arctic with northern alliance.
  3. place the banner near top of the mountain

Expected Results:
uncolored top of mountain gets colored, and some ore vein spawns.

Actual Results:
top of mountain stays uncolored light gray.

This hardly seems like an issue, it’s very rare for ore veins to spawn on the surface, coloring the top of a mountain (I’ve personally seen this only a couple of times in 600+ hours of game)

Ore veins usually spawn underground and you can see brief bits of them on the sides of mountains, but rarely on the top, coloring it whole. I’d say that unless you actually started digging and after clearing some good pieces of land you couldn’t find ore, one can hardly think this it is an issue but rather chance: sometimes there will be a visible ore node on top of the mountain, sometimes there won’t :slight_smile:

(Btw, ACE actually slightly increases the amount of ore veins generated)
