I cant find coal veins for A hunk o coal for the advanced anvil. I tried it with the marketstall for traders but they never have it. any tips?
you might already know this but try to search in the mountains, they have alot of ore and if you tried that maybe dig random tunnels down and see if you can find one.
also treasure chests from enemies rarely has some.
I’ve been busy playing other games lately and I’ve been waiting for my favorite SH mods to get updated for the new ACE version, so I’m not positive this would still work. But you should be able to set orders for mining tunnels deep into mountains and check the “exposed” walls to see if they’re showing coal (or other resource) veins. I usually find them easier to see if I’ve had hearthlings scout the nearby zones, but often you can see them regardless.
