Could just be me missing a notice but since when do the desert people start with a carpenter instead of a potter?
UI looks like ascendancy 
and they always start with a carpenter, even when in the desert
guess that is it then, i did select the desert peeps but for some reasen it changed
This happened to me once but I thought I simply clicked the wrong image, so wie should keep an eye on it and try some click combinations in the selection screen
