Hi,
I may have missed something, but I wanted to play Stonehearth once again after 4 months and I had no carpenters saw when starting the game, only a Trappers knife (that I bought) and a Potters cutter.
I am pretty sure I always had a carpenter from the start.
I also started a new game and the same thing happened.
Have there been changes?

It sounds like you are playing the Rayya’s Children kingdom. Rayya’s Children have a potter’s cutter as their starting talisman.

Hi,
The potter makes beds and furniture, similar to the carpenter. They rely on clay, which you can get from mining (mining down into the ground gets more clay than mining into mountains). Rayya’s Children relies on trade. The potter’s decorations sells for a good amount of gold. Traders will come along that have the farmer’s hoe and footman’s sword talismans for you to buy. When your potter can make the mason’s talisman, you can then progress into the mason -> blacksmith -> carpenter tech tree.
