Discourse has long supported some pretty extensive search options. You can limit your search to users, categories, status, whether you liked it, and more. The problem was, these options weren’t very easy to use, or discover. The interface really looked … well … bad:
Good news! As of 2 weeks ago, a new UI was added that makes searching much easier.
