Neighboring Settlers (SUGGESTION)

I think that they can eather attack you and steal your stuff, or form a good relationship, trade with you, helping your settlers, etc.

Like what Riggy and others said, there are a number of possible outcomes that could result in your neighboring settlers attacking and looing your settlers, or trading with your settlers, helping your settlers, etc.

EDIT: I changed the name and message.

Not much activity lately…

Subject popularity comes and goes I think  I have to restrain myself from writing long novels of all my ideas since so much can still change at this point.

Haven’t had any activity at mine either :person_frowning:

dont despair folks… we’re still 6.5 months out form beta, and the vast majority of the backers have never even seen this place, let along registered to participate in the discussions…

i assure you, as we get closer to beta, and more information is disseminated (via blog posts, interviews, youtube videos), we’ll see an exponential increase in membership, and activity… poor @Geoffers747 wont know  from

One day has past, so…

BUMP!

with 47 (now 48) responses to the thread, it may just be that folks are tapped out on the topic… trust me, there is no need to bump topics…

if someone comes along and wants to discuss something similar, im sure they can track down the thread (the search routine is actually quite robust here, comparatively)…

and if a new thread is created, we’ll just merge em’ up into one big happy family… of posts… by total strangers…

It’s kind of a shame that my most popular topic just died…

Well what did you expect? We would talk till the end of time about Neighboring Settlers? I mean there is a limit to the amount of talking you can do about anything, and it seems to me that we pretty well talked this one out, so until someone has something revolutionary or thought provoking to say about this subject, that’s pretty much the end of it. Regardless of your (less than subtle) bumps

Well, I don’t think that this topic is my life…

Not really to Bump this topic and I know this is an oldie, BUT more things have come out Sooo…

  • I don’t plan to make this a habit!, but I really think this has merit!

Our Hearthlings appear to get upset! so why can’t they (that get to a certain level of grievance) be the ones that leave your settlement and form a Bandit camp?

Idk know maybe they left, rounded up some Goblins (or whatever) and became their Leader!

  • OR-
Left, found a settlement close by that your Friendly/Neutral/Wary with, and just by him entering that village will increase the threat level of that settlement, seeing how they had a grievance with you spread rumors about your settlement so to speak. I mean you did leave him without a bed to sleep in, no roof over his head, no full belly (left him out in the cold/snowy/rainy weather later on :P)
    -OR-
Could go the route of : ā€œTrade caravanā€, had to come from somewhere, maybe refusing those request too many times will gradually increase the threat level from whatever village/kingdom it came from.
    (Final) -OR-
Maybe if the rival settlement is really close (because they either expanded or you did) maybe you could have a option to absorb them into your settlement for a obscene price, or the price is to high and you decide to wipe them out. This could either increase tension with the other settlements, or decrease them pending on their current level of trust towards you.
