My initials (epik) and for some reason I decided to make it sound like the epic one… it was a long time ago so I don’t really remember how I came to that conclusion for a name.

except @Geoffers747 … he wants to be a professional shot girl…

Shot girl

For a woman in her 20s, taking home between $300 and $600 a night is excellent pay, which is about how much shot girls
make, The Wall Street Journal reports. They’re paid 25 cents for every
shot they sell at the bar, with the rest coming from tips, which vary
between $1 and $20 per round. The watered-down tequila in a plastic
test tube and Jell-O shots cost 15 cents to make and sell for $3 or
$4. After the young woman gets her cut, the cash is evenly split
between the bar and the company managers. The shot girls wear
revealing tops and short shorts, which may not make it an appealing
job for all women.

My first username was a mix of the word enigma and conundrum, but that was impossible to remember. So after 3 hours and a nice shower I got a word that no one had, and that no one cares to say in full, so now i have a nickname of my username.

Does anyone have issues with people pronouncing their usernames…aside from @Geoffers747?

I think I’ve have a good 40ish people call me Pandamec :stuck_out_tongue:

most are pretty straightforward… @Geoffers747 is tough though, as is @Paranundrox:smile:

most tend to butcher my last name though…

@SteveAdamo It’s Ad-um-oh, right?

My name came from my being male (Man_of_) and the last three letters of my name backwards (ret).

unfortunately not… but dont feel bad, most folks assume the same… sort of like Adam with an O…

but its Italian, and as a member of the Romance languages, the annunciation is somewhat different… its actually pronounced ah-dahm-o (the a in “dam” sounding like “ah” not “a”)…

Ah, that makes more sense. Like “a-DA-mo”, right?

So I was playing Planetside 2, and I needed a character name. It’s a military game so I threw in the first military rank that came to my head: Corporal. Next came the next two words to come to mind: Man, and Shorts. Soooooo, yea.

yes sir… exactly!

im not sure if i’ve given you the official “welcome aboard”, but with a name like @CorpManshorts, a second welcome is perfectly acceptable…

I don’t know if it’s primarily American’s that struggle with the pronunciation of these things … on the wondrous Xbox Live English people are completely fine with Geoffers, maybe because it’s usually spelled Geoff in the UK, but American’s struggle and go with Joff, Gee-Off.

Probably the same thing with your last name Steve. To cut a long story short, yes, I am blaming you savages across the Atlantic for mispronunciation.

We’ve got it sweet or Arnold-Palmer style. None of your silly Colombian stuff. Or maybe that’s coffee…

The name TUGenius goes back a long way, and it started with Game Center for iOS. When I got my iPad 2 to replace my old iPad, it came with Game Center. I didn’t choose a name, waiting for the right moment. I later went on to shoot up in leader boards, find tons of hidden achievements, and to collect over 150 Game Center games. That’s where genuis1 came from. I only realized that I had misspelled the username a few years later, pretty sad, and definitely worthy of the name genuis1. Then I developed the name TUGenius, because I don’t have to put a number behind it, and it stands for ‘The Ultimate Genius’. I’m being cocky or anything, because I got a 4.0 in College Physics, and a 4.0 in Calculus AB in 7th grade. No joke, no jk, no troll, no etc.

gasp you mean my name idea wasn’t original?
