Modding Stonehearth: first steps

oh wow, i forgot about that one… thanks for the reminder!

@MStony Well done sir. I think if we all teamed up together. We can make a lot of good content. I just wish animation software was easier to use.

Apologies for bringing up ‘another’ voxel game.

I also backed the “Spark Rising” voxel game, at a level that allowed be to gain a copy of
Qubicle Constructor that was specific to Spark Rising.

Can anyone tell me how readily that version will work for Stonehearth,
or how it compares to the $11 Stonehearth version spoken of here?

Can you export in .qbformat? If yes, the versions will be probably similar.

Hey there, the spark rising edition is a special edition limited to 100 copies and is mostly a re-branded Home Edition, so yes, you have all features needed to mod stonehearth.

Oh and since I’m here… I will start to create Q2 videos this week explaining the new features. And I will announce another edition this week: Qubicle 2 Micro.

Hi there. I haven’t touched stonehearth in a while, and thought i’d give this a go… however, when I try to open the oak file, I keep getting the following:

E/A-Fehler 103.

Help?

Sounds like you are trying to open a .qb file directly you need to import from within qubicle constructer, then it should be visible.

I’ve just tried this Import->navigate to file-> click ok, and I get the same thing.

Hey there, this error occurs when the file could not be opened. The reason for this can be a) the file is opened by another application (probably stonehearth) or you try to open it from inside the zip file.

I’ve unzipped the stonehearth folder into the mods folder, so directory goes:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Stonehearth\mods\stonehearth\entities\trees\oak_tree\medium_oak_tree

Is this correct?..

Yes, that’s correct. Have you selected one of the three oak qb files?

Is the stonehearth edition of Qubicle Constructor still available?

Recently someone mentioned about it:

Hey everyone, and especially @Tim, I noticed that the link at the top of the page has recently got missing. @tim, would it be possible to get it back? For everyone else, if it can’t be gotten back, or if it is now out of date, can you let me know what was covered in it so someone can write up a substitute?
