i want clay doors and windows i have a pottter but cant figure otu ecactly how to make doors
Well…you make clay doors and windows the exact same way you make a wooden door with the carpenter. You need to get clay (by mining), and then create a potter’s wheel and kiln. From there, open the workbench by clicking your potter, and then clicking the anvil icon (or alternatively you can access it via the citizen’s UI), select the door or window you wish to craft, enter the number, and click craft.
Does that make sense?

ok i thought there might have been another step like cook the door but that seems to be automated then

Nope. That would be cool, but no, it is all done as one item. A word of warning, if you want to build clay buildings, you do need to “cook” the clay into clay bricks before you can build with the clay.
