Is there anyway to increase the amount of turrets you can place? Currently i am building a kingdom with 4 entrences and my limit on turruts is 2 so i can not even place one on every gate.

When you level up your engineer the limit on turrets and traps increases. At level 3 you can place 4 turrets.
