Hearthlings Not Looting?

Summary: I’ve been playing on a world for a little while, but my hearthling are refusing to loot anything in the nearby forest (see attached), any idea?

Notes: I’ve tried making sure there were no active harvesting or building jobs going on, but even when there’s nothing to be done in my main town, they still wont go and pick up the loot. No the door isn’t locked, because occasionally they will go and pick up a log in the forest. There’s no enemies in their way either; I cleared everything out.

Do you have room in a stockpile/chest with the right filter options set? Save/Exit/Reload the game sometimes fixes weird things like that too.

Tried reloading multiple time, also tried deselecting and re selecting. Even tried only going for one item on the loot menu at a time. I have tons of room in chests available as well.

There’s also an inventory cap. Click that castle icon and go to inventory. Is there any room? If you aren’t at the inventory cap then idk what to tell ya :stuck_out_tongue:

Can they reach the loot items?

That forest looks pretty dense.

Are you currently building something? Buildings come first, looting second.

Welcome to the forum, @Rox33317

The pathfinder is having a hard time since the items are far from the town.

Have you tried closing and reopening the game too? (As opposed to just save/loading). Maybe pausing the game for a while too.

Could you upload the savefile?
To upload a save, locate the folder in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games (assuming a default Steam install), zip the individual save’s folder (not the entire saved_games folder), and upload it. If the *.zip is less than 10 MB, feel free to upload it directly to the Discourse. If larger, please upload it to a cloud storage site like Dropbox, Google Drive, File Dropper, etc. and post the sharing link here.

Thank you all for helping out!

It looks like they can’t get through the trees as they are too packed together.

In any case, the best thing you can do is create a stockpile right in the middle of that loot area. They will recognize it and start looking for the items near it to deposit there. You then can destroy or empty it so they can move the items back into town.
