just out of curiosity, which games are you currently playing here?

Well … I traded everything Xbox 360 I had in to fund (completely might I add, it was heartbreaking to hand it all over) purchasing the Xbox One.

I currently have: Forza, FIFA, Battlefield, Ryse, Dead Rising, Zoo Tycoon.

I love this list; it seems so stereotypically male, racing, football, shooting, war(?), zombies. And then there’s Zoo Tycoon at the end there

That’s nothing against Zoo Tycoon of course, I bought ZT2 for DS several years ago and enjoyed raising penguins, triceratops and yetis (sasquatches for those across the pond ;))

If I had the money you could also add Peggle 2 to that list - I love me some Peggle.

In my defence … I don’t actually think there are more ‘neutral’ games available … excluding Just Dance perhaps?

Zoo Tycoon is pretty fun! I haven’t actually had much time to jump ahead in to it yet though.

Everything insists on giving me Peggle! My Xbox came with a trial version with a level limit, and my laptop (the predecessor to this one) came with a trial version with which you got an hour of game time. I got really quite far in that hour and must say I am in agreement with your statement. :stuck_out_tongue:

you may have already mentioned this in that other thread, but in very general terms (and without the slightest interest in having someone turn this into a debate!), what’s your overall opinion of the new Xbox?

no pressure, mind you… its not as if i dont value your opinion so strongly, that a new purchase may or may not hinge on your very. next. words…

Xbox > Play Station. Please don’t hurt me

For you, I would say the Xbox is the better console. The PS4 has it’s merits and I’m not here to say that one is greater than the other cause I honestly believe they are offering different experiences this gen.

Xbox has the whole ‘entertainment’ thing going on, and when your time is limited to play games, being able to have the entertainment side of things is pretty good - there are a lot more functions for the US, specifically the One Guide (it comes to Europe sometime next year) which allows you a lot more control over your TV through your Xbox and stuff, as well as a load of NFL stuff I believe.

If all you buy a console for is to play games, then the PS4 would probably win.

That’s not to say the Xbox is lacking when it comes to games - they all look incredible, there is (will be) a large variety of exclusives, and cross-platform titles, so you won’t be missing out on too much. There’s actually a lot of games coming to Xbox that I’m surprised - Final Fantasy XV, Metal Gear Solid, Kingdom Hearts for example.

But Xbox have really pushed to dominate the living room by providing pretty much an all in one box, which is great; the novelty of being able to say “Xbox watch TV” never grows old.

I’m trying to think of what else it does … it obviously has all the apps like Netflix etc. (PS4 does as well I believe, just not as many), overall I personally prefer the look and function of the UI, the controller retains that brilliance of last gen, with tweaks and changes to update and upgrade it - the ‘feedback triggers’ are very interesting.

There are some problems at the moment, some issues with the UX, specifically party chat, but these will be fixed at some point so that’s not too big of a deal.

I could probably go on a bit more but I’m struggling to think at the moment.

If you want me to give you a whirl via video at some point just let me know

Edit: @SteveAdamo if you wanna take this to a private message just work the magic and I’ll provide a comprehensive business report.

Both Peggle games are the bomb!!

I got both of them in a Steam sale last year, for something like $4.99.

I think you might be thinking of Peggle Nights? It was an add on for Peggle.

This is good news - you can now be excited that Peggle 2 was recently released

Although bad news - I think it’s just on Xbox one for now …

Ah, got it… and yes I was talking about Peggle Nights, although I think that one was being sold separately from Peggle at the time.

Can someone tell me what Peggle is?

It’s kind of a bagatelle style game. You should really look it up on Youtube and see someone play it or search your computer as there’s bound to be a trial version.

Peggle is an awesome puzzle-type game, like @Smokestacks said, check it out on Youtube if you want to see gameplay, or you can download a trial version and try it out for yourself.

It can be downloaded through Yahoo games from here or it is available through Steam in a number of variations, as well as a trial that can be downloaded from this link just click on the demo button on the right side of the page.
