I like to play around with making building and stuff, but it’s a pain when you want to experiment with a building but have to gather the resources first. So I was thinking that making an other “Game Version”(inplemented in the game of course, maby as another option in the main menu) where you can build freely, without thinking about resources and the part of waiting for the heathlings to build. Hope the developers will take the extra work an add this feature. Thx for reading

easy enough, Just use the command ib and it’ll auto construct your buildings, no resources needed (normally open the command console via SHIFT + C)

I think they mean wanting a creative mode as a general form rather than messing with the code or ‘Cheating’ via console, as it were. Which personally, I think would be a great idea. ‘creative mode’ or ‘free build mode’ as it would be. But I wouldn’t really expect such a feature to be added till much later, considering how much content and work they’re putting in to that other content to expand the game and make it generally more enjoyable and immersive through all the other current fields of expectation and development. Peaceful is kind of the creative mode at this point, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they added a proper resource free creative mode at some point in the future 
Like I said, I don’t think such a thing is really on the ‘Alpha’ agenda considering how much they’re still working on… But maybe during later stages though.

I wouldn’t consider the console cheating as such (apart from using the “Destroy” command on Ogo’s troupes aha) I find it helps in impossible situations like Hearthlings getting trapped in walls and you don’t want to destroy the building to save them. But you are right like where you have access to all items and other minor advantages like that.
The console is definitely cheating as you would never be allowed access to it in a multiplayer game
I think a free build mode would be great, it would let you be able to sort out all your templates without ruining several play throughs trying to figure out the build editor

In an Alpha/Beta, it’s a reasonable tool to use in certain circumstances, especially in some cases of bug testing. However, using for regular gameplay experience is in essence a ‘cheat’ and will seem as such to a fair number of players.
But the main point is most people who desire this style of play won’t want to mess around with the console. Working with consoles can really be quite a hassle at times. Creating a mode where it’s all set out for free build would be a wonderful addition. (As well as the possibility of a map editor), As I said earlier, hopefully they’ll add it some time in the future. Personally, I don’t see why they wouldn’t add that feature, as a fair part of the game does seem to be the essence of creativity.

Personally I think using the console is kind of cheating, I only use it when there’s a bug or something, and even though using peacefull mode, it still take quite some time to gather the needed items and resources.
I didn’t mean it as if I wanted this feature in alpha 21(of course I would like it as soon as possible), but more when it would suit the developers. I just thought that this kind of feature would really improve the game.
