Foundation creation on top of built structure results in multiple blocks in same space

Summary: After building block wall structure, and then attempting to create a road on top of it hearthlings built the road without destroying the previously placed blocks. This resulted in two blocks occupying the same space.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Mine out a block from the ground.
  2. Place a slab to occupy the empty space.
  3. Build a road or foundation over the area you constructed the slab.
  4. ???
  5. Profit

Expected Results:
I expected the hearthlings to mine out the structure and then place the road.

Actual Results:
They got lazy and just built the road in the same block as the structure.

Notes:
After testing it myself I saw that this occurred with previously placed foundation, slab, or road when building foundation or road on top of it, and you can have seemingly infinite amounts of blocks occupying the same space. I tested up to four.

A post was merged into an existing topic: Removing slab results in sculpted terrain

I was disappointed when I tried to replace an old road with a new road. The Hearthlings just added another road block on top of the original block.

The ability of modifying buildings after they’ve been built is not implemented yet.
We’ll have to wait and see how this will be addressed.
