Hello, yes I’m calling for the Video Game Helpline…
I’ve been looking for an MMORPG, but ever since I finished Sword Art Online (brilliant anime), it’s all just been a bit Meh when it comes to MMORPGs. Currently, the only one I’ve seen that looks promising is Wildstar… but I’m not (and actually can’t because of Steve) paying £50 for the deluxe just to be able to play at weekends…
if you think that you will find something like SAO trust me your not. i’ve check multiple mmos none like SAO. now out of anime is Log Horizon(btw just watch last episode and cant wait for next season) but different story. i look at basically all the F2P that i could find and some B2P but none like SAO, so jump of that wagon and find a new one.
Swift_Cube slurps his coffee, and his eyes glaze over.
“Ah, what now?!”, he cries. “I shouldn’t have applied for this job, it’s just answering these darned first world problems over and over again.”, he grumbles.
Swift_Cube reluctantly picks up the phone, and puts on a fake, cheery voice
“Hello, this is Video Game Helpline! I’m so glad you called, what is your incredibly, ridiculously urgent problem?” he says in a voice like poisoned honey.
“Well, Alfie, there are some options we can look into. My best guess for you would be TERA: Rising, a free MMORPG. While it might not be of the best quality, be assured you can put at least 4-5 hours of gameplay into it. There’s lots of fun animation too. However, be wary: it is a free game, and they’re not always of the best quality. Something you might like is that is it a tiny bit anime-esque.”, Swift says in a dull, monotone voice.
Swift_Cube waits for Alfie to respond, slurping his coffee as he does so.
At least it’s only one person doing it, I mean imagine if someone else started posting games to look at? Something like these perhaps?
That would never happen right? At least the games I’m interested in aren’t in any state to present, something like topia might bare quite a bit of ability to suck people in if it ever reaches a good presentable form.
On a more relevant note any games like Codex of Alchemical Engineering, Spacechem or Manufactoria or the like? Just in case there’s any I don’t know about.
My sister found an upcoming MMORPG, ArcheAge
(the page takes a while to load) I don’t know if it will have a monthly fee like the original or if they will switch to another type when they finish importing it.
I was almost convinced when I saw the gliders. Honestly, I would play it just for the gliders, I so love flying in video games. Shame I can’t try games like this until I get a new computer (I was so moved when Guild Wars 2 was launched, more than the beautiful scenery and detailed characters, I was seeing the huge work of teams and teams of designers and developers). Le sigh…
i 2 have saw this wonderful game but a problem which i hate is P2P. because i am a very poor student a cant subscribe to anything but B2P is different 1 time buy and your done. but back to archage it will be a F2P but with some disadvantages
Do you have Prince Albert in a can?
Well you better let him out. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha.
On a more serious note, I’m wondering if anybody knows any really solid first person, story-driven, singleplayer games? Games in this particular genre that I have played in the past and enjoyed include things like: the Deus Ex series, the Thief series, Fallouts 3 and New Vegas, the Elder Scrolls series, and the Vampire: The Masquerade series. I’d be greatly appreciative of any suggestions.
Hello, I am the manager of this fine establishment.
Sir, Have you tried any of the Borderlands, Far Cry (Far Cry blood dragon is highly recommended), Mass effect (It’s third person but still really good), Mount and Blade: Warband, Metro, Portal, Red Faction, Saints Row, Spec Ops: The Line, The Stanley Parable, Star Wars: Battlefront or Warhammer 40K: Space Marine. I own and have gotten satisfaction from all these Games. Do any of these satisfy your needs?
