OK, that was quick! Do me a favor and right click on the smod, click 7-zip, and then open archive
. Once open you should see a single folder called debugtools. Inside that folder should be a bunch of stuff like a manifest and a readme. Let me know if anything is different than what I just said.
Just the ticket. The root dir inside the .smod also had -master. So just renaming the .zip itself was not sufficient. It’s working now as expected. Thanks for the assist!

FYI: debugtools still doesn’t seem to install cleanly. The last time I tried it, I had to accept an Engine Error to get the tools to load, which seems pretty backwards.
Hmm…I have had no issues installing it. Yang was not able to find a clean method for creating a smod for releases without issue, but if you download the debugtools-master.zip
, open the zip (don’t extract it), copy the debugtools-master
folder into the /mods/
folder, and remove -master
from the folder, you should have no issues.
