Fields Should Combine As One Patrol Zone

When footment patrol, they patrol the outside of each zone. I purpose that when you have multiple zones grouped together (as shown in the pic), they should only patrol the outside of that zone. To me at least, it feels like a waste of time for them to patrol the middle of my fields.
