May just be me, but it bothers me that the Town Tier Quests cause the notification counter to stay on 1 minimum. Now assuming their will be more quests and/or mini quests in the future, I propose that the notification window be tabbed, showing how many notifications you have, and showing how many quests you have, separately.

The “1” drives me insane, I keep clicking thinking its a trader or promotion only to see the town quest …twitches

definitely a much needed thing! 
it was suggested in the past but never really seemed to be deemed super important, maybe @Sweet could take a look at adding this when she starts work on the UI/UX though

Same issue with “trader will return in x hours”. Perhaps a quick and easy fix (for now) could be displaying the number at all times, but only changing the color when there is an “active” notification, not a long-term one.

How about two numbers? One for active, long term quests and another for new notifications.
