Tonight we descend upon this new builder… Let us destroy it, rebuild it, destroy it again and make it… Perfect
Or atleast help the devs do that
So far, the new builder has been a blast. I was a little afraid to dive right into it! I found it intimidating at first because of the possibilities you had with just how the tool worked compared to the rigidity of the old builder. Once I got started, I really found myself going from the mindset of “I want to keep it simple so my workers don’t derp out” To “Oh… Oh that’s nice… Wait… this was supposed to be a hut, why the hell is a Mansion now!?”
As you explore the new tool, you’ll get pretty excited as your imagination runs wild with the inspiration needed to build great things. I can’t wait to see how the work shop looks once templates gets released. Of course, there are quite a few things that are pretty rough about the new builder once you start getting more familiar with it but, in my opinion, these are just minor issues with something that is currently a work in progress and will continue to grow and get better after it’s implementation.
That aside, I can’t wait to see other parts of the game grow as they continue their progress on the world, other factions, goblins and monsters inhabiting the world and so on. Unstable might be unstable, but it keeps me coming back for more! Might do a bit of Stonehearth after my usual gameplay today
Keep up the good work, Ladies and Gents! I look forward to more and more stuff like this
Loving the new update so far, only problem with Arctic is hard to find ore which won’t be a problem once I learn the biome a bit more and for some reason my guys aren’t collecting my bug meat at all from my trapper zone!
Also, please make stances at least for the Cleric. This should have been something kinda obvious, seeing as the Cleric is aggro af. And will chase every little critter across the biome :’(
Maybe make it so you force them to stick with their military units and be a support instead of having an attack value? :S
Sadly, the team has said that a combat overhaul is not prioritized for at least 18 months. If we want it, someone will have to mod it. :-/
That’s a shame. Oh well, I guess we’ll just be playing the waiting game. I know they’re doing awesome work on the game, but that’s unfortunate that it’s so far out
I’m sure by now everyone has seen the article on Stonehearth and the development halt and release. I was half expecting something of that nature to come around just due to the sheer size and ambition of the genre the game is in and seemed to want to grasp. Still, it’s a great game and I’ll continue to keep it in my stream rotation as I can manage. Thanks for all the hard work, devs! I’m sure the game will still be a fine piece of work in the coming release.
