Yayy! that’s awesome news, Now I can finally add tree’s as part of my builds, I wonder if it’s possible to grow a tree on top of a tree now…

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS … Sorry for the caps it is just that from Alpha one me and more then likely many people have wanted to make more trees! :-)!!!
Theoretically, only plantable in dirt, yes. As of alpha 12 … might be plantable on anything, including on top of other trees. So remember to practice safe reforestation. If your hearthlings get stuck because you planted trees on trees, that’s just karma.

Why not, it is a tree tree and you can harvest trees from that tree.

So I can’t plant a tree on grass ? or does that count as dirt as well ? I am confused…
Also, does that mean we also get to plant berry bushes ?
Grass is dirt, sooo you should be able to plant a tree on it

Something came into my mind right now.
Since we start in xy biome, we won’t have 456 trees but only 123 trees.
Maybe a merchant can sell us saplings(or blueprints 
) for other trees/pants.
