That’s a picture of a slab building I made to finish off a wall I was designing. It says no more resources can be put into the building (178/0?) and the people are just ignoring it as if it is finished. Restarting the game doesn’t fix it.

Not a fix, but usually when this happens it’s because a hearthling can’t access the area that still needs work. Try putting a ladder to the top, or a ladder to any area that looks unfinished or out of place.
Could you upload the templates that were failing, and / or the savefile where it got stuck at 178/0 so that we can take a look at them?
To upload a savefile:
Find the save folder for the saves you wish to upload. By default, they are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games (assuming a default Steam install).
Zip the folder.
Right click the folder (should be a long set of numbers).
Left click on Send to in the menu that appears.
Left click on `Compressed (Zipped) folder).
(Optional) Rename the folder to something different than the default set of numbers.
Upload the save.
If the zip is less than 10 MB, you can upload it directly. Either use the upload button or drag and drop it into the compose window,
If larger than 10 MB, upload it to a cloud storage site like Dropbox, Google Drive, File Dropper, etc. and post the sharing link here.
Unfortunately I deleted that object/building because it wasn’t being
finished and I didn’t make a template because I was just filling a hole in
a wall I was making.
However, (sort of) good news, I tried building a wall structure that seems
to have the same problem in that it won’t be finished, this time it’s stuck
on 224/1, and I have the resources to complete it. It seems they gave up on
the building while making the scaffolding.
I have attached the save file if you wish to take a look at it still.
That was, because your Hearthlings couldn’t reach the lower levels. As soon as I let them build a ladder (marked with the red arrow) they started working
If I’m not mistaken, Hearthlings can only go up/down 1 ‘block’ so if there is a heigh difference of >1 they can’t reach it. Take the provided sreenshot (my last post) for example. On the left are a few steps with a difference of one, but on the bottom ones all have a difference of more than one so they wouldn’t be able to climb down there to build the scaffolding. Hope that helps and is understandable.
In general, we would eventually like to either make it so that hearthlings can always get to where they’re going, or somehow tell you that they’re stuck. Adding @not_owen_wilson who works on building, just so he can take a look.
