just recently been having a problem where my game will decide to crash either when i open it or when i try to start playing on whatever save file or new game i try to start. I thought it was a mod or maybe just too many mods being on my game so i got rid of a few and it was okay but started happening again so now i got rid of all the mods i was using and im still getting that same crash. I know my graphics card is updated and i never had issues till after the new beta updates so im not sure what’s going on. I also verified my steam files and it would help me play the game until i would close it and try to open it again after a little while of not playing.
check/opload your stonehearth.log file
it’s located n the game folder
it should say something about the reason why stop working
Can you upload the
stonehearth.log files from your game folder? And a savegame if it happens on a specific one.
Site won’t let me upload any files because im a new user to the forum or i would’ve added it. This is what seems to show in the stonehearth.log file
2018-07-13 18:55:42.354199error parsing json: decRef on a 0 refcount internal
I made sure you had upload permissions when I posted. Are you still unable to upload?
yeah, it still says i can’t upload.
Thanks! We’ll take a look.
Awesome, thanks for the help!
The crash appears to be in
AcLayers.dll, which is a Windows component used for running applications in compatibility mode. Make sure Stonehearth is not set to run in compatibility mode. You can do this by going to the game’s folder, right clicking
Properties, and in the
Compatibility tab, making sure that no box is ticked.
ooh, alright i will test this out and see how it runs. Thanks for taking a look at it!
