I don’t know if it’s meant to be like this, but when you use wall-mounted lanterns the light doesn’t show if the walls are hidden. The point is that they will be hidden most of the time and so the light, defeating the purpose of having wall-mounted lanterns… it’s always dark in night time.
I’ll confirm this. I believe this has always been this way. It’s a bit weird since when walls are hidden from view it’s basically like it and anything attached to it are not present. Same with floors. This means you can’t see light from lanterns and other light sources will pass through it.
I’m guessing this is lower on the priority list since doing a full implementation like that may:
a) actually be kind of weird
b) be computationally expensive to do and thus slow
