thanks, forgot to also ask you :stuck_out_tongue:

Not sure if this has been reported. Made my dude some iron mail armor and it seems to have a life of its own! Looks like the x/y coords are off a tad.

[Armor Pacing Dude][1]

Title:
Bug : Full platemail doesn’t come with helmets on females, and removes the heads/faces of males.

Summary:
Not much more to tell than the bug. Crafted a full platemail, put it on a hearthling, noticed there was no helmet – fine. Crafted another one, the helmet was now present, but the Hearthling’s face was gone.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Select any worker Hearthling
  2. Promote to Footman (Full platemail included in stockpile)
  3. View bug

Expected Results:
The helmet either appears both times, or never; Hearthling’s face should not be removed (at least not until someone creates that Possessed Full Platemail mod).

Actual Results:
Male Hearthling’s face is removed on wearing Full Platemail. Female Hearthling does not get the helmet.

A Wooden Practice Sword is ready in the stockpile, as well as a Steel Longsword, Full Platemail, and Trusty Shield. To replicate no-head bug, promote a male Hearthling like Irving Garwin to a footman. To replicate no-helmet bug (?), promote a female Hearthling like Devona Edessa.

Versions and Mods:
Stonehearth Alpha 8, dev build 2176. The Microworld mod is in my mods directory, but not currently being used. I have also made a small modification to Stonehearth.smod: Ladders are made of stone rather than wood.

System Information:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 | Pentium i5 | 4GB system memory | AMD Radeon HD 5700

this is a known bug,

further down they reported the platemail bugs

thanks for reporting anyways

thanks… stuck on my phone (which prevents me from merging)… will get to this later if @Relyss doesn’t beat me to it…

@Moai, females don’t have helmets on purpose. Because of their hair, which would be clipping with the helmet. It’s an issue that devs have still to resolve.

Heads being substituted with the helmets it’s due to the way the armor is attached to the body. Apparently the Full Platemail isn’t using the right properties.

i thought you meant it was to elegant to wreck with a helmet

Can confirm as well. The only logical answer is that the armor is possessed. :stuck_out_tongue:

Not that i have a picture but i can confirm that the helmets on iron mail is either not there or floating slightly behind and to the side of the footman.

i gave him the iron mail  XD

Partly why I make all my footmen… women (helmet is hidden). That and it’s cuter seeing them out kicking ass.

this is very true…

edit: that also makes me think of @Goldmetal 's crusader, doesn’t it @NonBritGit ?

I have finally gotten to make full plate steel armour and found the following rather disturbing issue.

It appears that sometimes the head of the wearer will stop rendering with the helmet floating in mid-air.

I have a screenshot here:

Gareth seems to have lost his head getting this armour! It’s like something out of bednobs and broomsticks!

EDIT: reloading did not help.

EDIT: Comedy added.
