Cant select stockpile in between two sides of a mining zone

Summary:
When i create a mining zone on the x axis and a mining zone on the y axis then a stockpile cannot be selected because it selects the mining zone instead even though the cursor is not directly on the mining zone.
i made a screenshot which shows te bug.
Steps to reproduce:

  1. create a mining zone in the x axis
  2. create a mining zone on the y axis and connect it to the other mining zone.
  3. create a stockpile in between the mining zone.
  4. try to click the stockpile
