Can't build slabs on walls

So with the release of a stable A17, I decided to start a new save and enjoy the nice new building features. The first couple buildings built with ease, no leftover scaffolding, everything placed nicely, it was great!

Then I made the mistake of finishing up a design, getting them started, and then closing the game. Now they refuse to build anything at all, and I get this error message upon load:

This game did at one point have a couple mods in it that I removed, but this save has never had mods. I am going to attempt a reinstall to see if there’s an error somewhere, but I’ll save the save game in case you guys want it.

Welcome to the forum, @Miss_Nouveau

Savefiles are always welcome

Unfortunately, there’s this times when a bug glitches the buliding editor too much
On a new game you’re able to build fine, right?

I did a new save and had the same issue, seems to be tied to putting slabs on walls. I did a reinstall of the entire game and have been avoiding putting slabs on walls, and so far haven’t had the issue pop up again.
