maybe we can have a “parapet” type object that the mason would have to build onto the walls- not sure if this would just be another wall type of whether a specific recipe.
Also finally I think collums are definitly something that should be added, although for now I think they would be decoration. Eventually we could have it be parts of buildings- think grand halls with collumns to support the roof (that arent part of the walls ofc)

How about pressure plates to activate simple mechanism like traps maybe with a gear like connection of dwarf fortress.

Any chance Masons will be used to actually build buildings? Having them lay more complicated stonework or walls makes complete sense.
Love the idea of STONE HEARTHS for buildings.
well i guess stone tools are out, at least thats what tom said last stream 
perhaps ill make a mod for them though…
in the jobs menu thing it says that the trappers knife would be made by the mason, but its not in the mason’s recipes. why?

im guessing it has to do with the fact that we don’t have bones in the game yet. (it says the knife is made of bone)

It does say its a stone hewn bone knife or something along those inks made by the mason
Maybe goblins will drop bones…?
Or skeletons will drop it when they are added
