Burst particles are not supposed to loop?

I created an effect using the burst type. It is set to loop and it actually does.

Here is the problem though, when I’m not looking, like pointing the camera away from the object that has this effect, it stops looping.
As a quick test to check if the problem was just the burst type (cause it is the main change from other effects I have), I changed the type from burst to constant, and it didn’t stopped when this change was applied.
