Bridges, Wells, Flooding systems

Hopefully this topics havent been touched recently…if they have please delete this post D:

Hello! I recently started playing the game and BOY do i like the potential in it! I have been wanting to get into DF type of games, with Rimworld on my sight as well, but i digress.

Was playing a session in the desert biome, already had full population of 20 and a stable existence for my little fellas, but the lake where i had settled next to started to dry up, and then it came to me…like a mad revelation! It would be awesome to be able to put some pump systems, maybe with the engineer, in order to create new sources of water, maybe on the plains, maybe on top of a mountain…anywhere!

And…if we are going to have rivers…why not the ability to build bridges over them or between mountains? I guess that last one would require a lot of programming skills toa void the lings getting stuck in the air or stairs but…it would be awesome.

And lastly…why not use this ability to control the waters? It would be interesting to see if a system of doors could be used to flood certain zones, maybe as protection, maybe as an offensive move against monsters…I dont know, just had to write everything up here before i forgot!

first Welcome to the game
then comes the second part :stuck_out_tongue:

Water phisics: in Alpha 24(steam unstable) there is an item that creates water but only usig the debug tools mod.
there will be probably some way to earn/create that item

Bridges: you can build almost what ever you want with the builder bridges included

Rivers: there is a mod/add on/plugin that changes world generation adding rivers

Flooding: developers were playing with some floating stuff so there is a way to somehow flood areas if you have enough water.
As offensive/defensive right now would be hard as there is (afaik) no drowning effects
