So-called shadow acne occurs when a pattern of pixels appear to be in shadow when they shouldn’t, causing lines across the texture. Some artifact along these lines happens when zoomed out. Look carefully at this cropped screnshot:
The shadowed parts are full of horizontal lines, the non-shadowed parts look like some sort of diagonal weaving.
