Here is an easily replicated little bug that can go on the back burner. When I have slice active and open a workshop menu the slice button reverts to normal but the slice remains active.
We will start outside my mining area. The camera will not change position during this set of screenshots.
Now we have slice active, and everything is looking good. 54M is showing up and the top is off of the slice button.
Now, we open a workshop menu. As you can see the slice is still active but the button has reverted to its default state.
This bug is a minor annoyance at best as it is corrected by simply hitting the slice button twice to restore normal functions.

hmm… good catch, but i’m not sure if I would classify this as a bug, or more a gameplay suggestion…
I will leave the classification to the pros. I just catch ‘em and drag ‘em into the discourse kickin’ and screamin’.

It’s a bug in that it’s one of the things that leads to dead hearthlings on roofs. If Slice view is active, a roof will show up but stuff on it will not, so if you have a hearthling trapped on a roof (through overzealous staffolding removal) you wont see them and they will die. You may not realise you can’t see them because you forget slice mode is active.
The same thing happens if you save and reload the game while slice is active - the slice is still active but the button reverts.

Just bumping this topic since I noticed on my last game that it was still happening. Back burner is still a good place for this though.
