Will There Be Any Other Types Of Biomes?

I was just wondering if there would be other biomes, such as forests, deserts, swamps, hills, plains, tundra, jungle, volcano, etc.

There’s a thread [urlhttp://discourse.stonehearth.net/t/let-s-talk-biomes/466] here already discussing biomes, I can’t quite remember the response from the devs in yesterdays livestream, perhaps @SteveAdamo remembers?

But yes, there will be other biomes! The $180,000 stretch goal was specifically for a glacier biome.

 • I was hoping for more biomes like Deserts, Jungles and Deep Caves

There should definately be like a desert biome, with adobe huts and such

Could be post-release, but I’m sure that additional Biomes will be created.

I really hope these bioms would be added!

I wonder if the devs. Have took these suggestions for more biomes into consideration.

I think it was something that was on the table prior to the early stretch goal, they definitely look through the forums so they would have come across peoples suggestions, but they discussed that other biomes will be in, or at least very easy to mod in.

keep in mind, we achieved the arctic biome stretch goal, so right out of the gate, the budding mod community will have that “mod” to dig into as a frame of reference for creating their own…

depending on just how complex one wants to go with a new biome, implementing one should be fairly “straight-forward” given some artistic ability and lua magic…
