I put a ceiling made of blocks in a custom house and built the roof made of blocks on top. The house would not complete and on investigation I discovered that two hearthlings had walled themselves in. I can redo the house of course but in future will it be possible to edit partial and fully built houses so as to deal wiith situations like this?.

You can teleport them out
press “strg” and "c"
then type in teleport while having a hearthling selected
after pressing enter you can choose the location where to teleport
