I have another save file and its got about 10 or so poyo, I just tried harvesting them but I am still having the same issue >.>
Please upload it! Weâll take a look.
Going to have to respectfully disagree,
Iâm having the same problem with all of the Sheppardâs animals so I pulled on my hockey mask (Iâm Canadian so I have one handy) and I started a slaughter! I change my Sheppard back to a worker and removed two of the three Sheppard areas. I ran through the usual troubleshooting list but I havenât started building yet so it makes it much easier lol. I left five poyos and Iâm still surrounded by pacifists!
First save game is pre-slaughter.
Second save is post slaughter.

AMD FXâ˘-4300 Quad-Core Processor 3.80 GHz
32.0 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti
P.S. My weaver doesnât work well either!
I will take a look.
P.S. Is there any way you could use a different uploading site in the future? Media fire requires me to click on each file individually and then click download, afterwards I have to put them all back into the same folder. AAAAAHHH. Thanks
What exactly is the issue youâre experiencing? Was it that the poyos are left after harvesting? Or that after killing off all the poyos except for 5, the remaining 5 arenât being slaughtered?
I just loaded up the post slaughter and there was no shepherd left, so the poyos couldnât be harvested (no shepherd = no slaughter). I changed one of your workerâs jobs to shepherd and after awhile he harvested the poyos.
Also, bringing animals back to the field is higher priority that slaughtering. If you put a fence around the pasture, the shepherd will be able to focus on his job of tending the animals instead of always trying to bring them back home.
I didnât see anything egregious, so please give me more information. Thank you!

No problem, how would you like it?
Dint know about the no Sheppard no slaughter so that slants my whole experiment as I donât know how long I waited after killing the majority of animals off that changed the Sheppard to another job, which I had done to prevent more animals joining lol.
So is it only the Sheppard that slaughters now? In the past it was a tasked shared among the villagers I had thought. Instead of a bug this may be chalked up to different expectations I guess. Thanks for the info btw!
@snocat
Any uploader that doesnât require I get an account to download all the files at once. I think Dropbox or Google Drive will both work.
It was a bug a couple of weeks ago where everyone could slaughter animals. We thought about whether we should keep it that way and came to the conclusion of fixing it so only the shepherd could slaughter again.
P.S If I were a worker, I would want the shepherd to handle the bloody animal slaughtering part, but thatâs just me
@snocat, another option (if you do not have an account yourself with Dropbox or Google Drive) would be to âzipâ the files before uploading, thus acting as a single file. I know filedropper.com supports zips and does not require an account for uploading or downloading.
So sorry it took me a while to reply again, i was away for a little bit >.> here is the link for the town

even when i destroyed most of the poyoâs and paused any construction i still couldnt harvest,
also not sure if its a known issue but when i delete (erase tool in building) any blocks (like the ones in the town edging the pathways) you can never build on that location again with the same tool.
I also had a problem with Chickens that wouldnât get killed. I had only 3 chickens, one walked around with an ax above itâs head for most of the game.
@jomaxro, is this more performance related?
I find it more fitting in Bug Reports. The issue looks more like not being able to harvest poyos, rather than poor performance due to too many poyos (which is a side effect or a different bug if youâre not supposed to have that many).
No, should probably be moved back to Bug Reports at this time. It was moved to performance a week ago when we thought it was performance related only, I will move it back nowâŚ
Iâve noticed that the shepherd upon promotion immediately starts befriending and collecting livestock regardless of whether or not pastures are set up. If herding is prioritized over slaughtering and herding occurs regardless of pasture population limits then thereâs no way the shephers will ever slaughter. They are constantly wandering off into the wilderness or walking around the town herding all the animals theyâve collected. Also the picket fence gates open for the animals so they can leave at any time (and do). Iâm currently in the process of promoting more shephers to see if this fixes the problem. Would like to know if others are experiencing the same thing or if this is particular to my game somehow.
Hey there @Geoff_Harrison, welcome to the Discourse! Interesting thoughts about the shepherd. If your first first thought is correct I feel that that is a bug. To the best of my knowledge a shepherd should not âgatherâ animals unless there is a defined pasture to bring them to.
As to the gate issue, it is a known bug. Check out this thread:

Edit: Forgot to repage @yshan, can you give some details on Shepherd AI priorities?
Thanks for the quick reply. Iâll try a few other things out and see if I can things working properly.
Same here, I am unable to harvest my poyo⌠and I really REALLY want to
Hey there @Craig_Brown, welcome to the Discourse! Can you provide any more details on your issue, or could you upload the save game where you are experiencing this issue?
To upload a save locate the folder (default is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games assuming Steam) and copy the folder to a cloud storage site like Dropbox, Google Drive, File Dropper, etc. and post the sharing link here.
Thank you for replying so quickly. Here it is!
Hi There
does this still happen in a14 unstable?
Thanks
-Yang
I have not seen this in A14 personally.
@Craig_Brown, @Ayla, @snocat, have any of you had the opportunity to play A14 yet?
