Oops, had written it manually before I just grabbed the list off of my computer, I erased it because I had just assumed it was going to be on the list.
I definitely agree. I would hate it if I had some workers sent off to chop down some distant trees (distant from a stockpile or crate) only to see them run all the way back with wood in between chopping down each tree. It’s much more efficient if they just chop down all the trees in that area first, and then start moving the wood back to town.
Stonehearth is the only game that sppeds up my fans, the sound is really annoying
And, on the other hand, we should really be able to build just 1x1 free wall, when I tried that, I got an error, couldn’t ‘destroy’ command it, it pretty much ruined the town.
Confirmed. Had the same problem in the first unstable for Alpha 11, too. My theory is that it has something to do with the workers now mining anything they can reach, as opposed to whatever method they used before. It seems now they need to have their feet on solid ground next to anything they’re going to mine, and a ladder won’t do. As a workaround build a platform next to the block you want to mine out, and hopefully this’ll get fixed in the next unstable.
I wanted to build a free wall inside man-made cavity in a mountain (wall seamlessly coming out of the mountain style thing) and for this I needed to build a ladder, so Hearthlings would mine those two blocks above the 4 block high range. They mined it, eventually, but it took them A LOT of time, and a lot of various ladder repositioning. Ladder needs to be directly in front of the block you want to mine(they completely ignored mine command if ladder was a block next to it), plus they can’t have pretty much anything else to do, this is because of AI priority system, which places mining (at longer distances from city centre) at a ridiculously low priority.
I haven’t had error windows pop up in game for this or any indication of what the actual problem is. I couldn’t find a related forum branch either so decided to post here.
My poor hearthlings seem to be slipping into comas and starving to death. It seems to happen primarily if I attempt to change jobs but have had two hearthlings lay down and sleep to death while in the middle of a job as well. Another poor soul was lost after sleeping through an attack by multiple enemies.
I’ve started several new games in case it was a glitch related to specific game conditions in a given world but the problem persists across all seeds and conditions.
I’ve taken part in numerous alpha/beta builds and I have to say, you are a doing a fantastic job. I look forward to watching the game progress and evolve! Cheers!
just happened same thing that I described over there with two hearthlings at the same time. Try reloading UI (F5) while having a comatose Hearthling selected, or saving/reloading also while having said one selected. It should probably pop up an error window.
Yup! That appears to be the one. I can’t get the popup error window though and nothing I do seems to have any effect. UI refresh didn’t effect it and switching to defense mode just gives them a red exclamation point so they are very alert while they sleep lol.
Have you checked their inventories? Were they scheduled to place any item on the ground? What might help is cancelling any and every task they might be elegible for, and somehow resetting their priorities, probably by promotions. I guess not even full restart of game doesn’t help, right?
