Oak saplings can be stacked when deployed. Not sure if this is the intended behaviour though. I managed to create a wall of Oak trees as a natural barrier but the surprise I got was stacking Oak saplings and trees 
. Also I noticed I can plant saplings on roof tops or tiles as well (on buildings). The screenshot for planting saplings on buildings are not included for now.
