I just thought “Would this work in multiplayer?” and then I realized it could. If there’s some competitive mode and two players are having a battle, and dropped items automatically go to whoever killed the Hearthling, one player’s workers would still run to pick items up in the middle of a battle. If they’re neutral, either player can loot drops after the other has retreated.
