Hey, wasn’t sure if I should put this in suggestions or support, since it’s just a general question. I have a world with a seed that I really like, but I didn’t think to look at it until after I went into game. I’m wondering if there is a way to check the seed while in game, or is it lost forever?
ctrl+shift+c to open up the console window, then type in “help” to find all commands. I’m pretty sure one of them tells you the seed.
Thank you, very much. I thought there was something like console, but didn’t know how to access it. By any chance is there any other ctrl+shift+(random) I should know?
not that I know of. but if you wanted to look for something, a quick google search will most likely reveal it. it’s not like the devs are hiding keybindings.
that would be the command world_seed
… or at least i think thats what it is…
I don’t think it would be a bad idea for them eventually to have your seed name displayed in the menu screen (top or bottom) when you hit esc or pause the game. Shouldn’t really need to use the command key’s… well eventually.
Once the game becomes more stable, I think A lot of ppl will not even realize they exist (the command keys) or rarely have a use for them outside of modding the game or what not.
well currently the console commands are really implemented mainly for debugging, eventually i’m sure they’ll change it.
