[Res] Villagers not eating food in crates

There is food in the crates. No visible pathfinding issues. Carpenter/Stonemason will use logs/Stone stored in crates for crafting. Removed food from crate and they ate it. Returned food to crate and it was ignored again. Saved/Reloaded, No fix.

Develop-2477 (x64)

Created 5 crates, set up to only receive food. Hearthlings placed all available food in crates and when they became hungry they stopped all activities. Would not take food from crates.

it’s been reported a number of times, but I don’t recall a thread exclusively for it…

I noticed this bug when messing with the unstable version of Alpha 11. I started a town and things were going smoothly for Day 1. However, when it became Noon on Day 2, the Hearthlings seem to ignore the food that’s in the crates. This left me with a handful of Hearthlings that are starving while a small few ate food that either wasn’t put in the crate, or in a normal stockpile. I hope to see this bug fixed as soon as possible.

Hearthlings wont eat when all food is stored in crates.

Reproduce:

  1. build a crate and allow only food
  2. build a storage an allow only non-food
  3. wait for a hungry hearthling and watch

I think this is fixed now, but please keep an eye on it in our next build for us.
