I assumed as much. I was hoping to confirm the type of connection for each monitor: HDMI, DVI, Display Port, Mini-Display Port, VGA, etc…
one dvi and one that new display port thing thats almost like usb with slanted corner. 
I think my main monitor is the dvi connection

Hmm…I have a nearly identical setup to you including 1 DVI and 1 Display Port (yes, the USB like thing with a slanted corner). The only difference is I have a 1070 not a 970. Very strange
