I must have missed those, as this is by far the most impressive (from a graphics technology perspective) that I’ve come across…
while i completely understand your KS hesitation, i’m fairly confident they have loftier goals than this…

Fair enough @RepeatPan, I guess you can always check back at a later stage in development to see if it worked out and then decide if you can get it.
Myself, I liked the look of it enough to back at beta access level, which is really about as much as I can reasonably spend on any game these days… my wallet’s not in the happiest state it’s been in… but anyway, looking forward to trying it out mid-2015! Thanks and also curses @SteveAdamo
I notice the cheese block guys whose video @SteveAdamo linked also do TUG videos! Neat… haven’t looked back at that game for a while, I’m gonna go see how far it’s come since last I saw it.
I really look forward to this game
Also here is some youtube goodies
That was wonderful to watch! So am I to understand they tune all the worlds the players will eventually play on by hand this way in order to not only make them all unique in terms of their characteristics, but also reasonable (moreso, probably, than the one they made in this video)? That is quite cool, I have to say. Although, of course, it will put a limit on the number of worlds. However, the process is probably fast enough that they can make a large number such that no player will ever really start to feel like they’ve seen it all, while the worlds themselves should be big enough that there’s always space available for new players as well.
Anyway, I liked that video a lot. And, my goodness, the game really does look fantastic. Even just walking around will be nice at this rate.
By the way, @RepeatPan, I forgot to ask before. When you said,
does this mean that you are disappointed with Stonehearth as well in this regard?
Did we mention we where professionals?
I think it’s not too unrealistic to say that Stonehearth will not get even close to the stuff they’ve promised on the Kickstarter within a month. So they’re failing at least with “on time”.
The worst case here is CastleStory, which… two? three? years after “release” still is… questionable.
Well, yes, I think it’s quite fair to say that the deadline estimate is hardly ever achieved. However, I don’t care too much about that, so I don’t get disappointed about that so long as there is good communication and I feel like the game will be good eventually. Both are definitely the case with Stonehearth, so I for one am happy.
By the way @RepeatPan congratulations on your 1000th post on these forums!
Agreed. Mind you, I’m a regular buyer of Blizzard’s games, so I’m kinda used to long delays and such .
As far as Kickstarter is concerned though… yeah, Kickstarter timetables are always far too optimistic - it’d probably make more sense to see how much time they’ve given themselves to get to alpha/beta/whatever, then double or even triple it.
Still, when’s all said and done, Stonehearth is progressing along nicely and we’re getting a good deal of interaction with the dev team, which is always nice . So, maybe the beta comes out in 2015 and we’re ready for a full release in Q3/Q4 2015 - I can live with that TBH.
could not agree with you more… absolutely baffled by this one…
