When continuing to test the builder I encountered an error when attempting to start building a new structure. Not too sure what caused it. As a new user I cannot upload my save file but I can link a screenshot and the error report at least.

I think that world was never saved because it got totally broken after that error.
Pretty sure it had to do something with me creating dormers on a roof with the roof tool.
I know one block became red probably because it had a block inside of another block so both roofs had their own block at the same spot. Normally that makes it red and not let you build it but this time it seems it let me.
Hey @FuzzyChops, could you upload that savefile or the template?
Find the save folder for the saves you wish to upload. By default, they are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth\saved_games (assuming a default Steam install).
Zip the folder.
Right click the folder (should be a long set of numbers).
Left click on Send to in the menu that appears.
Left click on `Compressed (Zipped) folder).
(Optional) Rename the folder to something different than the default set of numbers.
Upload the save.
If the zip is less than 10 MB, you can upload it directly. Either use the upload button or drag and drop it into the compose window,
If larger than 10 MB, upload it to a cloud storage site like Dropbox, Google Drive, File Dropper, etc. and post the sharing link here.
I got this error message as well, when I put a castle battlements style roof on a clay structure and it wouldn’t build automagically IIRC, I managed to put a ladder up to get the structure built, but the error persisted and came up continually even after the building itself was constructed. I had clay window structures in the building, and they were filled but didn’t register properly and also couldn’t be removed so that they could be registered as filled. Not entirely sure which of these two actions led to this though, so I don’t have solid repro. That being said, I do have the save file.

Hey there, I just created my forum account today so I couldn’t upload the save, I didn’t think to try Google Drive though. Here’s the Drive link: Save FIle
That’s crazy, I’m not using clay since I’m not on the desert map but instead I’m creating a stone “Guard Tower” and that’s when the error occurred. The error pops up when I load the save and the structure I designed can’t be built basically. I think we can deduce it’s not tied to the building material at least
I also stopped playing the save with the error since my hearthlings wouldn’t build anymore after the error. I didn’t have any Red sections in my building though so that’s not the issue I think and my roof was built only with the Block tool
If you’re building a guard tower that has a crenelated castle battlements type roof, that may be the source of the error. For me, I was able to place a ladder off to the side of the structure that gave the hearthlings access to the roof, when the battlements style roof overhangs the structure itself and the scaffolding that was built automatically was not far enough out to do so. That may be an option for you as well, my hearthlings were able to build and even finish the structure that way, although the error persisted afterward.
Mine weren’t overhanging at all but I do have battlements as you can see in the screenshot. I just started a new save I’ll try the same style thing to see if the error occurs again
I got the same error again building a similar structure only this time I didn’t get the chance to finish it so I don’t think the error is tied to the roof type. Here is the google drive save for the second save : Save 2
Were there any red indicators on the structure? I had several windows that were filled with the appropriate clay frames, but seemed to think they still needed to be populated because they produced red indicators like the hearthlings couldn’t figure out how to place them.
Either way, hopefully between a few save games with the error, even if we can’t provide solid steps to reproduce the issue they’ll be able to nail down what the cause actually is.
Summary:
Created a fairly normal building out of slabs and roof tool via the new builder, which throws an exception with the note: “I really thought this was impossible.” and the hearthlings totally stop all building forever.
Steps to reproduce:
Start fresh Stonehearth game (ascendancy, forest, normal mode)
Construct the building I built I suppose? I dug out one level of earth below it and built it into the hole.
Expected Results:
The building will build normally.
Actual Results:
Script throws an error and stops the entire new building system, rendering it nonfunctional.
Notes:
This is the error produced. I’ve tried clearing and rebuilding from a saved template, reloading the UI, and restarting the game.

On further inspection, it seems related to the roof I put on the building. Removing the roof makes it build normally, but the game crashes to desktop if I hit the “cutaway view” button to make my walls invisible, once it’s built.
