Not sure if it’s a problem with Ascendency only as I haven’t worked up to the other factions yet. So far, the mushroom planters don’t work, also… condiments in cooking don’t work, doesn’t let me make them even though I have cooking oil and mayo.

Same. I have baskets, fungal colonies, and the singular pulled mushrooms. And don’t have the options to plant them in the planters.
It’s in the known issues of the last update
