Misscount between stockpile and crafting UI

I’ve taken a look at the savefile. Your problem is that the fine large crates are both deployed, so the potter can’t pick one as ingredient. You’d need to craft a new one, or just empty one of them and undeploy it.

This is a bug with the deployed / undeployed count for ingredients, we’ve had some reports about it but this is a really clear example of the problem. Thanks for the save!

Oooh!! That would make sense!
Because it “miraculously” after I moved the crates around! Thanks for checking it out!

Shall I raise the other issues I’ve encountered in separate reports?

Yes, different bugs in different reports

Summary:
fresh game latest build my crafters frequently stop working. Reload does not fix it. Only thing that sometimes works is emptying all the crafting list. save reload and then order them to do it again and if your lucky they are willing to do so.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. start new game
  2. have some crafters and there work places
  3. not sure what happens but they stop working on there to do list.

Expected Results:
crafters building what i order them to do
Actual Results:
going idle, socialise and sitting around the fireplace.

notes:
Its not just one crafter, its the mason, craftsman, blacksmit. They refuse to go gather the resources and produce materials.

Happens to me as well in A19

@Doc_Brano, I didn’t see any wood in your savefile. I think the UI is telling you that you have, because you have log piles (although it could be hidden elsewhere).

As soon as I harvested a log pile, the mason started to craft a knife.

When crafters don’t do their job is because they can’t reach the ingredients, usually.

I started a town and then harvested and began mining. However the crafting UI constantly tells me I either have no wood or clay or some other ingredient I need to craft. So then I gather more of that ingredient. But the UI still reads it as zero in stock. I have tried starting new games and the same thing keeps happening. I literally cannot do anything in the game. I never had any of these problems before just recently. It is a little flustering when your brother is playing just fine next to you… I don’t know if it is due to a mod, but my brother has the same mods as me… I am so confused.

The items are stored? They need to be inside a stockpile or container to be counted.

they are… which is weird. They are also easily accessed by the hearthlings, I can sell the wood.

What mods you are using? What happens if you delete the stockpile and remake it at the same place?

Nothing happened when I moved the stokepile. It still says there is no wood or stone. As for the mods, I have balista, bastioneer, du tracker, archipelago, desert transition, and the ones the game comes with.

Last time I played with Bastioneer, it affected the items. Try a game without it. (I’m not sure if the mod was updated after this issue)

In that mod, the items are replaced and changed, for us it looks the same, but for the game it is something different. While playing with that kingdom, it is ok, but when you play with the humans, the items are bugged.

Ok, I will try it. Thanks.

And it works!

For now, you can just de-activated that mod when playing with normal kingdoms and activate again when using the little rock guys

Alpha 22, confirming the issue with Comfy Beds is still here.

Deployed VS. Undeployed. I get the upgrading placed beds thing, but in this case I want them in my inventory, not the world.

Runes Mod, and 2 of mine. Adds the third planter box there and campaign stuff.

My potter wouldn’t build the Trading Goods Monument even though I had all necessary items and level requirements.

I managed to deduce the problem - I had four Fine Crates showing as green in the build panel but none were in storage - they had all been deployed. Once one was emptied and returned to storage the Trading Goods Monument was built.

So there appears to be a bug whereby Fine Crates are not being shown as removed from storage when deployed, which results in locking the Monument build tree.

I got a bug report in my mod where the player fisher was not crafting one of his recipes. After some digging in the provided save file, I noticed that the fisher was seeing the required item as available (or stored somewhere) but in reality it was already deployed and placed in the world.

I tested in an empty micro world and it affects (I believe) all crafters.

Here a mason that thinks it has a bed to use in the recipe while it is already placed.

I think this is related to what is being discussed in this topic, too.

My carpenter is not making the Comfy Bed for some reason. I have all of the materials and I have the toolbench placed, but she only makes other items. I have five items at the top of the crafting queue to be maintained, and items lower in the queue auto-placed from building construction. I have had the mats and everything ready for a few in-game days with the beds queued and she never produced them. I tried changing the bed’s position on the queue to different places as well as trashing the order completely and making a new order for them and she still refuses to make them.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Have the necessary materials and workbench placed to produce comfy beds
  2. Queue the carpenter to make comfy beds
  3. Be confused as she says nope ima make crates instead

Expected Results:
Comfy beds get crafted

Actual Results:
No comfy beds get crafted
