though i dont know of any, there is an entire topic devoted to showing off awesome seeds,
after quickly browsing through it, the last one in that thread looks pretty good,

That one isn’t an island persay, it’s actually attached when in that seed.

Only slightly. It should be possible to mine off the connection.

like @coasterspaul said, its only a small bit of land connecting them together (i’ve used that seed a few times) and when the area is mined out, you can barely see a difference in the water level. using the ib command right off the bat makes it easier, and makes it so your are on an island right from the get go.
hope that makes sense, and helps in some way.

Pretty sweet island with no exposed dirt and large enough to build a settlement to house at least 50 hearthlings.
Works as of Alpha 21.
