I want to get stonehearth on the easter school holiday on steam. Does Steam automatically update the game when a new alpha comes out or do you manually update. Are the updates free or do you have to pay (if you have the game of course)

right click on the game, get into properties and select betas tab, then choose ‘latest - latest build. minimally tested.’ that’s if you want to play the latest updated version by the dev team. there’s a lot of bug but will make sure you play at the latest version they release. Also for many other games, on properties, choose the update tab and make sure the word under “automatic updates” has the word “always keep this game up to date”. that is all.
