In particular, how do I rotate a chair? I’d like to situate the chairs around the campfire so the villagers can chat around the fire (not that it actually affects the game I know). I have tried various keys with various combinations of alt and ctrl. I’m prepared to feel stupid when I find out how easy it is.

i believe the keys are, , and . to rotate, but maybe i’m just going crazy…

Just so you know, hearthlings will refuse to use chairs that are around the fire and sit on the ground in front of the chairs.

I have them at the fire now, but they were all facing away, in the same direction. Every time they’d go to eat, they’d use the chairs, but I hadn’t noticed they choose to sit on the ground otherwise. I’ll try , and . though, thank you.

They will sit on the ground looking at the fire only at night, that happens when they don’t have work to do.
